The Richest Man in Babylon
This classic has been a game changer for hundreds of thousands if not millions.
The core principles here can if followed make any person with a decent income wealthy.
This book will give you the basics of building true wealth, but do note that there are off course no ”magic tricks” for acquiring wealth, simply because there are no shortcuts in life.
But if you follow the advices presented you will start building and be ahead of the other 99.9%.
The story might be a bit too tweaked towards monetary wealth for some in todays society, but I must say I truly loved it!
Simply because I truly believe that money is not in any way evil, it never made anyone crazy or evil, it just brought out who they really were.
And I think this book can open the eyes for many, one doesn’t really have to cut back much to save/invest quite a lot and live a more fulfilled life.
It’s all about structure, discipline & the understanding of compounding.
I am very early to agree with Dandapani, Grant Cardone and many more in the saying that ”it is selfish to not at least try to get rich.”
The book is written in an old English style which one could think makes it harder to read but in my opinion it is actually easier, (for the audiobook version it is awesome and really makes the story come alive).
And the stories are a bit intertwining but connect very well.
If I would have to complain the book is at some parts a bit repetitive and ”simple”, but no less true.
Despite the classic and almost biblical way it is written it is as said a very quick read / listen.
Lets just put it as simple as possible: You WILL get rich if you take care of your finances, and this book will teach you the basics of just that, and more…
